TCD studies

This is a functional study of blood flow in the vessels of the brain. It can help determine areas of reduced blood flow or blockage in the brain. It is a usual study in the work-up and following of patients with Strokes, TIA’s, Dizziness Balance Issues and Syncope (passing out ) issues. Due to this study being a functional study, it can help determine areas of brain blood flow issues, that conventional structural studies such as MRA and CTA studies of the brain may not.
